Devotional
We have come to the final day of counting the Omer but the first of 40 days of seeing God face-to-face on the mountain like Moses. While on the mount God revealed His glory to Moses, His plan to save Israel, His purpose in calling Moses, and His instructions for Moses and the people to build Him a house where He will live among them. What will God reveal to you now that you have been prepared for 49 days to enter into His presence. When we arrive we meet the One who has saved us and led us to His house. The Lord declares, “I AM,” as He says to Moses. We find God and we find ourselves. God says, “I am your God, who brought you out of slavery.” God says we belong to Him and to Him only. We are God’s treasured possession (Deuteronomy 14:2). You are the obedient humanity God has been waiting for. He has prepared us to meet Him and to do His will. Spend the next 40 days hearing His voice. Don’t be afraid. Prepare your questions. And be ready for answers. David wrote, “One thing I have asked of the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple” (Psalm 24:7).
Thank you for taking the journey together, counting the Omer each day. I appreciate your time and commitment and God does too. Let us count together again next year.
